PRINCIPLES OF BALANCING

Schmitt dynamic balancing solutions employ the principle of mass compensation to achieve optimum balance correction. The balance head typically contains two movable eccentric weights, which are positioned accurately by high precision gear trains. During the balance cycle, the component or machine to be balanced is run at normal operating speed and the weights are automatically adjusted to minimise the vibration signal.
